Become a Member of the Floyd County Democratic Committee
Reorganization Meeting December 18

membership gives you a voice and a vote in the policies and decisions of Floyd County Dems

The Floyd County Democratic Committee hereby announces that it will convene December 18, 2017 7:00 pm at the Jessie Peterman Memorial Library, 321 W Main St, Floyd, VA 24091, for the purpose of electing members to the Floyd County Democratic Committee, and the subsequent election of officers (Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer).

Membership applications will be accepted at that time. Attendees must be inside by 7:15 pm to be eligible to vote. You must be a member in order to vote for the election of officers. We will continue to accept new members after the deadline, but only those who file by the reorganization meeting will be able to vote for the officers at that meeting.

Being a member of the Floyd County Dems means that you have a voice and a vote in the policies we support and activities that we undertake to elect Democrats at the local, state and national level.

The Party Plan of the Democratic Party of Virginia (DPVA) mandates that every two years, in odd-numbered years, each Democratic committee undergoes reorganization (this ensures a vital, healthy local committee). The current membership term expires in December 2017. That means all current or new members will need to apply for membership.
